Viola Rod & Gun Club hosts NSSF First Shots events. Sign-up information for the the 2024 program is to be determined. Check back for program dates and the registration form.
The program is "aimed" at new or inexperienced shooters ages 12 and up. Parental approval is required. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their children. Previous shooting experience is not required. All firearms, ammunition, safety glasses, and hearing protection will be provided. Lunch is also included. The class size is limited to 15 shooters.

About First Shots
NSSF’s First Shots program has helped ranges across the country introduce thousands of individuals to shooting and firearm safety. Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and hosted by independent shooting facilities, the program provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to shooting by qualified range operators and instructors that includes firearm safety, local ownership requirements, shooting fundamentals, hands-on instruction and how and where to continue.
